Houston NW Amateur Radio Society (NARS) is holding a "Ham Radio" Field Day event Saturday June 24 from 12:00 pm through 12:00 pm Sunday, June 25. Field day is an annual event sponsored by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), the national support group for Amateur Radio operators. Field Day is your chance to learn about amateur radio. The Get-On-The-Air or GOTA station provides an opportunity for you to participate.

The Salvation Army canteen is planned for lunch, barring preemption by disaster. Tom Atkins KD5EIJ will provide his famous barbecue for dinner.
