There are two classes each week: Saturday at 0830-1000 and Tuesday at 1800-1900. The classes are offered at Charles R Hooks Education Center, 7111 Five Forks, Spring, Texas 77379.Thanks to Toivo Sari, Cypress Creek Information Technology Manager, for making the education center available for these classes.
This is a continuous class where students can "jump in" at any time. It covers persons learning from scratch to those of us who learned the code many years ago, but need to refresh their code memory and get back on the air. The class is open to everyone.
The goal is to get on the air at a speed of 20 words per minute (WPM).
The minimum requirement is a modern laptop. Older models with slower speed processors may prove to be unreliable for the software we use. You will also want to bring your favorite key (paddle, bug or straight) and keyer with speaker. If you do not have a keyer, there are several low-cost models we can recommend.
